Backcountry Ice Camp

Backcountry Ice Camp

The ultimate place to experience Canadian Rocky Mountain ice climbing at its best!

A week of ice climbing based from a warm, comfortable, helicopter accessed basecamp that is a short walk away from ice ranging from Grade 3 to Grade 6 and up to 300m in height. The technical nature of this camp demands that we have small guest to guide ratios (2:1). This enables us to access the plethora of amazing ice in this remote, wilderness location that has been highlighted in Alpinist magazine and is detailed in Joe Josephson's "Waterfall Ice" guidebook. Plus, don't count on running into any other climbers in this zone ... the remoteness of this area provides us with a playground of ice all to ourselves!
